What is Digital Marketing? Digital marketing is the marketing of brands, products and services via electronic media such as computers, social networks, email and websites. Digital marketers keep an eye on things like what consumers are viewing, how many times they view and the time they view it for.  The internet is the heart of digital marketing. It’s all about giving more access to your products so consumers have access to information at any point of the day.  


A digital marketing strategy is crucial to the success of a business because of the customer demand for online services.  It’s important that companies have a clear digital strategic plan to gain new business and retain existing customers. People no longer hear what you want them to hear about your products. Now they can simply go on the internet and see what media, friends, happy customers, not so happy customers, etc., say about your product and most likely base their decision of their research done through the internet.   Consumers look for brands they can depend on, companies that build a relationship with them, communications that are personalized and significant, and offers that are specifically made to meet their needs. Having a great digital marketing strategy and help achieve this and enhance the customer experience and if you don’t your competitors will definitely gain an advantage over you and leave you behind.
